Ministries

Over the years, the Community of St Martin has given birth to a variety of ministries. We have supported each other in collective endeavors while also encouraging individual pursuits of living lives of faith and social justice. For 26 years we operated St. Martin’s Table, a vegetarian restaurant that also offered a selection of books and fair trade items that reflected the values of our community. The Table closed in 2010.

Currently, we support the following activities:
Minnesota Arms Spending Alternatives Project (MNASAP), a non-partisan citizen-based initiative using a simple resolution process to build political support to shift federal spending priorities from war to meeting essential needs. To find out more, go to www.mnasap.org.

Iraqi Student Project ( ISP ). CSM is part of a grass-roots effort to help war-displaced Iraqi students acquire the education they need to participate in rebuilding their country. CSM currently helps support one Iraqi student studying at Augsburg College.
