Ministries

Over the years, the Community of St Martin has given birth to a variety of ministries. We have supported each other in collective endeavors while also encouraging individual pursuits of living lives of faith and social justice. For 26 years we operated St. Martin’s Table, a vegetarian restaurant that also offered a selection of books and fair trade items that reflected the values of our community. The Table closed in 2010.

Currently, we support the following activity: 

Alternative Gas Tax Campaign.  A group from CMS have agreed that they will voluntarily pay more per gallon of gasoline.The campaign grows out of the awareness that we rely too heavily on petroleum products to the detriment of our environment, health, and the quality of life in our communities. It also reflects a concern that the price of gasoline does not reflect the actual costs that our global community incurs as a result of our dependence on oil. More...
